Tell us a little about your background.

I have quite an interesting background. I was lucky to study in a fine arts college but my love for art started very early on. Art drove my curiosity to learn make-up wholeheartedly. I’ve also lived in different cities my whole life so naturally, I love to travel.

What inspires you?

I am blessed to be a curious human being. I see the beauty in everything surrounding me – from nature and history to people.

Favourite city and why?

Rome is splendid. It’s like a huge open museum where everything is a piece of art; the streets, landscape, music and food. The people that live there are so lucky to have such great history and culture at every corner.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love to read, especially about history. I believe knowing about our past and roots gives us an insight into who we are what are we capable of. I also spend a lot of time researching about new make-up products and trends. And of course, I love to shop, especially while I’m travelling.

Favourite food?

Every girls’ favourite – chocolates. I am so fond of Italy, so pizza as well.

If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?

If I could go back in time, I would take back everything I’ve learned about make-up and set new trends. It would be wonderful to influence different cultures and people. In saying that, I don’t regret anything and I am so proud of my path in life.

Who do you look up to and why?

Honestly, I don’t look up to anyone. In fact, I admire everyone’s success in his or her own way - especially those who were able to create identities for themselves and stand out from the crowd. I think every person has their own success story to tell.

What is your life motto?

Stop looking for happiness in the same place you lost it.

Biggest achievement?

When my children told me I am the mother they always wished for. It’s the most amazing moment for any mother, to feel such love and connection with her children. Nothing can beat that.

Any career tips?

You can only influence others when you are honest with yourself. Above all, know yourself and be genuine. Never stop learning. You know you are learning when you realise that actually, you know nothing yet.
