The Hot New Foodie Destination You Should Know

Headed by award-winning Executive Chef Amila Silva, luxury resort Heritance Aarah Maldives is a hot new culinary destination nestled on the island of Raa Atoli. Featuring a range of dining options across six restaurants and five bars, the island has won multiple awards from the prestigious IKA Culinary Olympics 2020 marking their third win in the culinary sphere since the opening of the resort last year.

The resort's signature restaurant, Ambula is known for its contemporary 'heritance'. Serving up Sri Lankan cuisine, a top pick on the menu includes the Curried Octopus wrapped in Maldivian “Roshi” prepared using sustainably homegrown pumpkin. Plant-based options are also available.

Hathaa, another favourite, offers dishes inspired from the streets of Bangkok and Tokyo while Baani is a chic spot to unwind and relish in world fusion cuisine while overlooking serene water views.

Inspired by French and Italian cuisine with a Mediterranean influence, all-day dining Ralu offers a mini buffet as well as à la carte options, embracing an earthy vibe in European décor.

Also on-site is Ranba, surrounded by palm trees and Ginifati, ideal for a romantic al fresco night out. The resort is also home to five bars, namely Bandhi Bar, Falhu Bar, Sky Bar (above Ambula), Ralu Lounge Bar and our recommendation, the Udaras Infinity Pool Bar.
