Serving up authentic Italian cuisine amidst elegant interiors, this fine dining DIFC restaurant is one to watch
An interior view of Marea Dubai
New York's Italian fine dining restaurant Marea launched in Dubai's DIFC a year ago, bringing with it the same flair that earned it two Michelin stars and celebrity clients by the likes of Beyoncé and Obama in Manhattan.
Translating to 'tide' in Italian, Marea Dubai is adorned with a light brown colour palette, vibrant artworks, contemporary, clean marble décor and complemented by golden dim lighting, recalling a luxury bubble. With leather seats and neat, white round tables, the space is perfect for an intimate dinner on the weekend. The outdoor area, surrounded by greenery and decorative lighting, exudes a cosy ambience and is ideal now with the weather cooling.
A variety of dishes served in Marea Dubai
The menu, headed by the same chef leading the New York spot, Michael White, comprises sea-inspired favourites; to start, try the calamari fritti, beetroot salad, lobster and burrata, polipo, insalata, tricolore caprese or salmon carpaccio. The mains selection spans garganelli, gnocchi, funghi risotto, spaghetti, rigatoni, ravioli, pollo, bistecca and sea bream. For the sweetest ending, we recommend the sorbet of the day and tiramisu. The portions are ideal and presentation is exquisite.
Part of New York-based Altamarea Group, Marea Dubai is the brand's very first venture in the Middle East.
